2023 will see our Ponteland practice growing and moving just 1.5 miles from our existing site to a fantastic new site located in Dobbies Garden Centre, Street House Farm, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE20 9BT.
Having outgrown our site in Ponteland it has been difficult to offer the level of service we want to. We have been developing a new spacious practice with additional services and facilities, which we believe will meet your needs and exceed your expectations!
Our new site will work closely and complement the range of services already offered by our branches in Alnwick, Amble, Morpeth, Rothbury and Wooler.
We are thrilled to confirm that we will be relocating to the new site early in 2023 – and we can’t wait! We are now busy planning the move to ensure there is as little disruption as possible to our Ponteland clients and patients, who are always our main priority.
Services and Facilities
This much larger site will offer clients and their pets a range of services and facilities in a modern environment whilst maintaining a warm and friendly feel. Located inside Dobbies at the rear of the building, access to our new practice is via our own external entrance. There is ample on-site parking and disabled access.
The site will enable us to grow the surgery to include:
- four consulting rooms – allowing a greater availability of appointments
- a large and modern operating theatre with the latest veterinary equipment
- spacious reception with separate waiting areas for cats and dogs
- separate dog and cat hospital wards – keeping stress to a minimum for your pets
- walk-in kennels for large breeds
- separate dental suite
- in-house laboratory and digital x-ray facilities
- isolation ward for very sick pets

While we will have a fantastic modern interior, we are delighted to confirm that the same familiar, warm and friendly faces Ponteland clients know so well – as well as amazing new additions to the team – will still be inside to welcome you!

Thanks to our new location, you will also be able to enjoy all the fantastic facilities on offer at dog-friendly Dobbies Garden Centre.
In addition to plants, houseplants, everything you need for your garden, and a foodhall, Dobbies offers a great range of pet products including pet food, healthcare, toys and accessories. The restaurant has a dog-friendly area as well so you can treat yourself to a tasty breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea as part of your visit.
We are passionate about giving our clients the best customer service and clinical care for their pets and this move will enable our Ponteland team to do both. We will keep you up-to-date with developments through our Facebook page and website.
